VINTAGE ORNAMENTS ARE AN ADDICTION!

Hello, My name is Stephanie......

and I am addicted......

I collect vintage ornaments......

and storing them in the "off season" is becoming a bit of a problem!

But oh how those Shiny Brites, double indents, snow-capped and stenciled ones, unsilvered war-time ones, and tiny figurals just make my heart skip a beat!

I'm having soooo much fun unpacking them all!

The HOLIDAYS are Coming!

Can you tell I'm dreaming of a
 PINK Christmas?!?

I made some sweet felt Christmas tree ornaments in the vintage style with lots of sequins, beads & embellishments. Soft powdery pinks & blues & glittery whites......

I've been making these ornaments since the late 1970's in many different styles & colors. I've never made any that I love more than these color combinations.

I'm making them for my tree, package decorations, and wreaths!

Just let me know if you need some, as I have multiples available for sale here!

ALL I NEED TO KNOW......

All I Need to Know......

I Learned From Snowmen!

* It's okay if you're a little bottom heavy.

* Hold your ground, even when the heat is on.

* Wearing white is always appropriate.

* Winter is the best of the four seasons.

* It takes a few extra rolls to make a good mid-section.

* There's nothing better than a foul weather friend.

* The key to life is to be a jolly, happy soul.

* We're all made up of mostly water.

* You know you've made it when they write a song about you.

* Accessorize! Accessorize! Accessorize!

* Avoid yellow snow.

* Don't get too much sun.

* It's embarrassing when you can't look down and see your feet.

* It's fun to hang out in your front yard.

* There's no stopping you once you're on a roll.

**Feel free to use this on your blog, too, if you'd like! A link back to this Christmas blog would be appreciated!**

Christmas Chandy Prisms

Last year my precious daughter gifted me with a PINK Christmas tree for my birthday on December 15th, so I've been busily stashing away pink and silver ornies for it all year long. I'm also adding chandy prisms in several different sizes and styles to it and may even add my glitzy mirrored balls!

My pink decorating is coming right along. I've got several of these vintage pink bottlebrush trees which I LOVE! Wish I could find more!

I've even stitched a few pink things for the house. I usually give away all that I stitch but decided to frame one for myself!

Til next time, I'll be digging out more PINKS!

This Year's Decorating Color Scheme

Should I have to even give you three guesses what the main color will be?
Nah, I didn't think so........

It is such an easy choice....PINK of course, with touches of silver, pale green, and crystals!
The hardest part is deciding where to put the new pink tree that daughter gave me last year for birthday ~ in the family room or our bedroom!

Snowmen BEFORE Halloween?!?

I've amassed quite a collection of snowmen thru the years, so many that I need to start dusting some off and putting them out right now.....but goodness, it isn't even Halloween yet!!

I added some sparkly little balls in autumnal colors to a pretty little dish and added some of my favorite little angels that were a part of my mother-in-laws collection.

This is a very special snowman and little Victorian Girls figurine from my precious friend Shirl of Shirl's Rose Cottage. She gifted me with this last year for my birthday which comes right before Christmas. I treasure it as I treasure our friendship!

I hope to add to this blog often over the next couple of months as the holidays are quickly approaching. If you also love the holidays and have a holiday blog just let me know, and I will be happy to add you to my sidebar of "must visit" holiday blogs!
