It's Raining......Reindeer!

I've got a growing fascination with reindeer......

They have been growing on me since, welllll......

So I'm sharing some of my old AND new favorites.......

The above Santa is mine from circa 1960.
Fast forward some 23+ years to a December evening when
my parents were babysitting my little daughter.

"GeeDaddy" decided he and his favorite girl needed to craft
a reindeer to go with Santa.
I still put out their adorable creation side by side each year!
The little toothpick antlers have been glued back on
more times than I can count!

I even have a little pink reindeer cookie cutter (center, in front of box).

Love my Lefton PINK reindeer with roses!

Bought these glittery reindeer last year at one of my favorite
local shops.

Made a kazillion of these as my daughter was growing up ~
Yes, I was always Head Room Mother for her classes!

Who remembers these?

Another blast from the past ~ I had one just like this that I used to fill with apples and sit on the porch!

I hope to share more of my vintage reindeer that I'm amassing soon,
but til then I'll leave you with a few of my favorite vintage postcards
that feature reindeer...... Feel free to click and save for your personal use!

Christmas Past

Christmas Past

I've still got this Bride Doll ~ she is placed in our bedroom near my wedding cupboard. Think this might be what started me on my addicition to wedding memorabilia?!?

Mother made my sweet Raggedy Ann stocking for me. I do wish she would find it ~ hint HINT!!

I still have the chalkware Santa that is sitting on the middle of the "fireplace" ledge.

I've got a small collection of plastic Christmas trees. This one is the perfect shade of green to go with my Santa Cookie Jar.

I love decorating with my antique mirrors. This one is especially fun to use during the holidays due to its awesome green colored glass edges.

One of my favorite cloth Santas ~ I think I fell in love with him because of the terrycloth bunny. I thought Amy of Bunny Rose Cottage would enjoy this picture!

Some of My Favorite Things

Some of My Favorite Things

This picture of my granddaughter was taken several years ago next to our bedroom tree.

Becca, do you see your little white Santa next to my vintage pink bottle brush tree?!?

I have several pieces of Christmas jewelry that I love. This is a Jewelry John Nativity Bell necklace.

Anyone that knows me at all knows of my love of antique mirrors. I collect them & also sell them on eBay. Here are several of my favorites decorated with handpainted Christmas balls for the holidays.

VINTAGE PINK ORNAMENTS

VINTAGE PINK ORNAMENTS

I love vintage ornaments. Some day I'll have amassed enough to do my entire tree in nothing but vintage pieces. I recently bought these two little unusual beauties to add to my pink tree.

I love icicle shapes, stenciled vintage ornaments.....

Glittered, cracked & crazed & faded.....see the adorable little glass horn?!?

Special shapes like roses and bells and pinecones.....

Tear drops, double indents, and angels (like the one I gave as party favors for my 10th birthday party! .....

This is how my pink tree in the family room is coming together. I'll show the completed tree on the 15th, the day that my sweet friend Deena of Can I Be Pretty in Pink is hostessing a CHRISTMAS DELIGHTS Party! Check out her blog here to sign up with Mr. Linky to participate!!

Sharing PINK Christmas Love

Sharing PINK Christmas Love

This picture shows my pink bottle brush tree that I've had almost all my life. It is always displayed in my bedroom.

These ornaments are new but they have such a great vintage styling to them. I got them at Kohl's last year.

Most of the ornaments that I use on our family room tree are vintage. I'm in love with balls that are stenciled or have indents, or that are tear-drop shape, or have flocking or mica or glitter on them!!
