It's Raining......Reindeer!

I've got a growing fascination with reindeer......

They have been growing on me since, welllll......

So I'm sharing some of my old AND new favorites.......

The above Santa is mine from circa 1960.
Fast forward some 23+ years to a December evening when
my parents were babysitting my little daughter.

"GeeDaddy" decided he and his favorite girl needed to craft
a reindeer to go with Santa.
I still put out their adorable creation side by side each year!
The little toothpick antlers have been glued back on
more times than I can count!

I even have a little pink reindeer cookie cutter (center, in front of box).

Love my Lefton PINK reindeer with roses!

Bought these glittery reindeer last year at one of my favorite
local shops.

Made a kazillion of these as my daughter was growing up ~
Yes, I was always Head Room Mother for her classes!

Who remembers these?

Another blast from the past ~ I had one just like this that I used to fill with apples and sit on the porch!

I hope to share more of my vintage reindeer that I'm amassing soon,
but til then I'll leave you with a few of my favorite vintage postcards
that feature reindeer...... Feel free to click and save for your personal use!

The above is courtesy of Karen at the Graphics Fairy

And the last four I'm sharing are from karenswhimsy.com

I love how the pointer is a little snowman, so cute! What a wonderful Christmassy blog this is. You asked which Pink tree was yours on my Rogers Gardens post today, it's the 11th photo down, just past the carolers. The photo is a little blurry but in person the tree was much more pink:)

Those vintage images are so cute! I haven't seen quite a few of them so thanks for posting them.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment on my Christmas blog today too Stephanie. I loved hearing about what you were going to be having for your supper on Christmas day. It sounds delicious.

Just to answer your question, a yabby is a freshwater crayfish and they are found here in Australia. They are a perfect seafood over here as they are very hardy and they are able to withstand poor water quality and long periods of drought.

Take care and enjoy that delicious Christmas feast!

Best wishes always,
Natasha.
